Our Tours are focussed on particular cultural themes, usually with an art-historical flavour. They involve some driving and staying in quality homestays and hotels, as well as Himalayan Orchard farm stay. The aim is to find a balance between spending enough time at the locations to absorb something of their nature, meaning and beauty, on the one hand, while on the other realising that we have to spend some time getting to these places in the first place, and getting back, all within a reasonable time frame and cost. We try not to spend too much time sitting in a vehicle gazing at the world going by, nor do we aim to tick off as many boxes a possible. 'Been there, done that' is not our ethos.
Treks involve camping overnight or staying at Forest Rest Houses, if available.
Hikes usually start and finish at Himalayan Orchard, and can be self-guided by following a predetermined route on an app, or guided.
